Long Fall Dresses
In San Francisco we have very strange seasons, unlike anywhere else in the country. We have colder temperatures than Alaska for most of the summer and just as we are ready to give up on the thought of sunshine and warmth, a few heatwaves roll through in September and October. Some call it Indian Summer, and while that term is not at all politically correct, it's my absolute favorite time of year.
Dressing for this season is slightly challenging because while it's gorgeous and sunny during the day, it's never warm at night (minus maybe 3-5 days a year). Long dresses are a great transition piece from summer to fall because it's easy (and chic!) to throw on a leather, shearling, or denim jacket if it gets too chilly. I also love pairing them with a heavier flat boot to make the look a little less dear.
Here are some links to both the dress I've been loving above as well as my wishlist. It's a no pants party and you're invited ;)
